The 2023 Edgar Fellows marks the 10th class since the program’s founding. This year’s roster included such names as Morris Mayor Christopher Brown, Kevin “KJ” Johnson, President and CEO of Illinois Fertilizer and Chemical Association, and Freeport Mayor Jodi Miller.
Every year, the Edgar program helps up to 40 emerging leaders receive lessons, networking opportunities, and training inspired by Edgar’s unique philosophy and leadership style.
The Edgar Fellow Program stresses problem solving over politics, compromise over competition, and real solutions over personal grand-standing. Fellows are nominated across political and cultural boundaries, and learn to work together to achieve real change.
